I don't know if I should be really excited or really disturbed. :\

I think Johnny Depp's acting will be fine, but Sweeney is a very, very difficult part. Even if Depp's a strong baritone, he may not be able to pull it off. Hell...is he even a baritone to begin with? I really don't know anything about his voice. Maybe they'll just dub over him or something...but I hope they don't have to that. I'll keep praying that he has some really fanastic, marvelous, Sondheim-approved hitherto unnoticed vocal talent. Maybe.

As for Helena...eh, I don't have a good opinion of her so far. I guess her Mrs. Lovett will be okay...I mean, her singing in Corpse Bride was good enough, and I'm sure she's a good actress and all, but I'm not exactly president of her fan-club right now. :( I'm half expecting to go see OotP this summer and lol myself crazy over her Bella.

Which. Uh. Doesn't really jive with the character motivation. In my humble opinion.

But Alan Rickman. Oh goodness, I can't wait to see that. Words cannot express how much I love this man, and his accent. And his insanely tight jaw. ♥

I definitely greater-than-three everything he's been in, and I'm a huge, huge fan of movieverse!Snape (HE'S SO CALM AND COLLECTED. AND INTELLIGENT. MY GOD. I CAN'T EVEN TAKE IT.), as far as Harry Potter is concerned (mostly because of the jaw thing, I guess. asdgkjasdklfj. I want to touch it.)

I APPLIED TO COLLEGE.

IT'S DONE. ALL OF IT. AGKDLASJGISDOFUJ.

I sent my application and my transcript, and College Board just sent me an email saying my SAT scores are on the way to Appalachian State, Western Carolina, UNC-Chapel Hill, NC State, and UNCA.

Now I just have to fill out FAFSA and a bunch of scholarship information. :(

So I've decided that going to a college outside of NC is out of the question...as are private colleges, for now. Maybe I can in grad school, but otherwise, the price is absolutely beyond our means.

Chyea, we're poor. :o

But anyway, today's an insanely good day. I'm going with some people to see Dark of the Moon at school...I went to the Thursday performance as well, and aside from being a little unpolished, it was amazing.

It's really making me wish I was in theatre this year. :|
